Seven Feather Casino Resort is helping the Little Woody Festival launch the ultimate stage line-up.  When not listening to the sounds of regional musical performers, like the always awesome Brothers Reed, the stage will be full of information from top professionals in the fields of all things brewed.

Music | Friday and Saturday

Two brothers making folk music, building a rabid fan base, touring the country, making albums and not giving two effs what the naysayers think.  Mimicking their musical tastes for a medley of folk/bluegrass/pop/country and so on… The Brothers Reed focuses on tight harmonies and pretty riffs to bring you a unique listening experience often filling the between-time during shows with comedy and fun while balancing that with many serious songs about love and everyday life.  So come to a show or listen online for surely a pleasurable experience!

Hank Shreve began playing harmonica at the age of 8 and has established himself as a major harmonica talent on the blues scene in the Pacific Northwest.  He has shared the stage with delta-blues legend Honeyboy Edwards, Smash Mouth, Merle Haggard, Norton Buffalo, Gregg Rolie, Marcia Ball, Sista Monica Parker, Amy Clawson & Pam Tillis, Terry Robb, Magic Dick, Lee Oskar, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Karen Lovely, Deanna Bogart, Roger Fisher (from Heart), Curtis Salgado, DK Stewart, Lloyd Jones, Paul deLay and many other well-known national and international acts.

Apart from being one of Eugene Oregon’s most respected and well-known musicians, Hank is also a gifted music teacher. Hank currently has about 16 to 20 students a week. He teaches Harmonica, Drums, Guitar, Lap-Steel and Piano. He is an official Artist-In-Residency at Music Masters in South Eugene where he teaches.


Little Woody Speaker Series | Saturday October 22nd

Launching the Little Woody Speaker Series in Eugene is the fulfillment of one of our long term visions for these events. By highlighting the many facets of brewing , and specifically barrel aged brewing, we are tapping into the wealth of talent and resources that it takes to create these brews. Nothing like education, entertainment and barrel aged beverages converging to keep things interesting !

1:00pm Sean Kelly owner/founder of Wildcraft Cider Presenting on procurement of wild fruits through stewardship and community relationships.


Sean and Wildcraft Cider helps forgotten or wasted resource become a high quality local product with a traditional profile and historic nostalgia. A Eugene, Oregon native, WildCraft Cider Works founded in 2014 is a combination of professional urban salvage utilization, resource management and a longtime passion for traditional wild fermentation of fruits, grains and plants.His presentation will further discuss making cider from our landscape and how that lends closer to traditional cider profiles. His presentation will include, tasting and a tour of the cidery.
2:00pm Roger Worthington founder of Indie Hops

Presentation: In Hop Pursuit. An expose on what becomes a hop legend most.


Roger loves hops so much in 2008 he founded Indie Hops, Oregon’s first home grown hop supplier. Indie Hops built the state’s first pellet mill that was designed to preserve aromatic hop oils. In 2009 IH partnered with OSU to build a breeding program specializing in new aroma hops. He had so much faith in the breeding program in 2013 he built his own brewery in Bend, Worthy Brewing. Why? Because he wanted to be in on the fun down the road when the program yielded new and valuable hop varieties.

RGW is a native of Corvallis, Oregon. Also a lawyer who specializes in making bad guys who poisoned the good guys and gals with asbestos pay up. His law office is in Los Angeles 

3:00pm Ryan Schmeige is the Barrel Master at Deschutes Brewery Presenting on Barrels: How to put the Wood in Woody
4:00pm Dr. Patrick Hayes is a Professor at Oregon State University, Corvallis. Presenting on “ Barley the Base of Beer From Genes to Glass”.


Dr. Patrick Hayes is a Professor at Oregon State University, Corvallis. His research focuses on barley – in its many forms and uses. Current research interests include: development of winter habit barley varieties for malting and human nutrition; the many facets of winter hardiness; dissection of quantitative disease resistance; characterization and utilization of genetic diversity; stimulating local barley production; and barley quality assessment.
5:00pm Jamie Floyd- Co-Founder and Brewer for Ninkasi Presenting on “Yeast goes Cosmic” the Ninkasi Space Program. Complete with beer sampling.


Born in Cupertino, California, Jamie moved north to attend the University of Oregon in 1990. He brewed his first batch of homebrew in the kitchen of a campus co-op called The Lorax. That first stout propelled Jamie into an 11-year brewing career at Steelhead Brewery in Eugene. Introduced through mutual friends,Jamie and Nikos Ridge become buddies at a time when Jamie was ready to embark on his own. Over a pint of Jamie’s beer, Nikos and Jamie discussed the potential of opening a brewery – a dream Jamie was certain to make happen. With Jamie’s brewing background and Nikos’ finance knowledge, the two had a winning combination to successfully open a business. After leaving the pub, Jamie eagerly waited an hour before calling Nikos with an affirmative, “this is happening.”
 6:00pm Don Chartier from Lagunitas Brewing  Discuss and experience Volcano Hops & Non-Profit Spaces.


Don Chartier, one of the original tribe members that launched Lagunitas in Northern California in the mid 90’s, has ascended to the role of Mumbler PHD.  What is this you ask?  Traveling the world to share stories and beers.
